“The good figs represent the exiles I sent from Judah to the land of the Babylonians…” (Jeremiah 24:5, NLT).

Sometimes what we perceive as bad is really God putting us in a position to be blessed. You might have thought a forced Babylonian exile, away from your home and land of your birth is as bad as it gets. Yet God says, “I will watch over and care for them…I will build them up” (Jeremiah 24:6-7, NLT).

Father, in the midst of the “bad”, help me to hear what you say and to recognize the good you bring.
