“This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: The people are saying, ‘The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the Lord.’” (Haggai 1:2, NLT)

When I’m going through a time of restoration and rebuilding, it’s easy and natural to orient my activities and choices with my needs and desires at the center. But God’s desire for us is so much greater, and it starts with orienting our lives around him.

When my life feels broken down and in shambles, instead of trying to get back what I lost, I can seize the opportunity to begin again with God at the center. What he wants for us is far greater than anything we could build on our own.
