When God Seems Far Away

The Lord will not do good, Nor will He do evil. (Zephaniah 1:12, NLT)

It’s a mistake to think God is not involved in our lives, in the affairs of those He created. And yet we do. We can’t pigeonhole what God does or allows. We can’t always easily interpret or assign meaning or reason.

But just because we can’t, don’t assume God is not involved, don’t think God doesn’t have a purpose and plan He is bringing about. Or that it’s pointless to seek Him.

God’s desire and plan is to live among us. “He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (Zephaniah 3:17, NLT)
