A Secret To Prayer

Then Abraham pressed his request further… (Genesis 18:29, NLT)

As mentioned before, I have a hard enough time praying. But Abraham pressed his request further. And in this, he shows us a key to prayer.

Perhaps we have a hard time believing God for big and audacious. So God invites us to start small. What matters is we engage at his invitation. The key is starting. However small. However insignificant it may seem.

For once we start, once we engage, then we can press our requests further, engage  with God in prayer in ways we never would have dreamed of at the start.

How often do I press my request before the Lord further? How often do I stop short for lack of starting?
