“Leave the boat…Be fruitful and multiply.” (Genesis 8:16, 9:1, NLT)
In one sense, it’s so much easier in the boat. Routines are set. Duties are limited.
And yet, on the boat, everything gets stripped away. Dreams, aspirations, the activities that made it feel like you mattered. All that seemed to give your life worth. It’s so easy then to retreat, to hide away, to go into isolation and simply want to stay there.
But eventually, God says, “Leave the boat…Be fruitful and multiply.”
It might be hard…harder than you ever thought possible. To step back out. To take a risk. To think you could be fruitful and multiply after such a long period of dormancy.
But God is calling. Will you heed his voice?
