Going Through Famines

But the famine continued… (Genesis 43:1, NLT)

Jacob refused to let Benjamin go to Egypt. But the famine continued and forced his hand.

Sometimes we’re waiting for breakthrough, we’re holding out for circumstances to change for the better.

And so, we miss seeing the way to our breakthrough is through our circumstance. We want the famine to end. But the famine continues. That’s not always a bad thing.

For though it may seem the famine steals what we have and love most (Benjamin), God uses the famine to give us more than we could ask or imagine (Joseph).
