Trials, hardships, and difficulties have an irresistible way of getting our attention. Out of necessity (and often as a last resort), we cry out to God.
But when relief comes, God ends up back in the rearview mirror, forgotten and ignored.
Father, don’t let me waste these trials that turn me to you. Help me to address the issues these hardships bring to light. I don’t want to play the role of the fool (Proverbs 26:11) and continually return to the status quo when you have so much more for me.
