Shemaiah had only one prophetic word of national importance (or one word important enough to be recorded in the Bible). Yet a king and his people listened to him because of who he was…a man of God.
His consistency in life, an established reputation through his conduct in words not important enough to record, these smaller things gave him a platform to speak…and to be heard (and heeded), when the time arose.
Could it be that you were meant to make a difference, not as a Moses, David, or Daniel (well known national figures) but as a Shemaiah? Someone established through their daily actions to rise up and speak an important word at just the right moment?
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9, NKJV)
