I’m not sure if you could find a longer and more tedious chapter in all the Bible than Numbers 7. Seventy-two verses repeating over and over what each of the twelve tribes presented as dedication gifts for the altar.
The gifts remained the same, only the names and days were changed to test your commitment to actually reading the entire Bible.
Why do this? Perhaps God wanted each tribe to present their gifts on their special day so they wouldn’t just blend in with everyone else.
God wanted each tribe to know they were significant.
You are significant. God doesn’t want you lost in the crowd.
God thinks you’re special. You matter.
