In The Midst Of Loss

We grieve loss. Perhaps something we desperately desired doesn’t come to pass. Or maybe, favorable circumstances come to an (sudden/unexpected) end. Relationships we cherish(ed) and value(d) grow distant through time and space.
The disciples viewed Jesus’ leaving as almost an unbearable loss. For three years, they enjoyed experiencing first hand, all Jesus said and did. And soon, all this would be gone.

But Jesus shows his departure as a preparation for something even better.

What losses in my life are actually God’s preparation for something far better?
