Does God’s Word Speak To You?

As you read or listen to God’s Word, have you ever had something in particular jump out at you? Felt a stirring in your soul?

What do you do with it?

One practice I’m working on is taking that word, writing it down by hand, and taking time to go over it again and again.

God’s Word is powerful. God’s Spirit speaks to our spirit through his Word, addressing our current circumstances and state of mind and being. If we will take heed, He will use it to change us, to save (deliver) us, to set us free.

Some words that have spoken to me:

“God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.” (Ps 18:30 NLT)

“We failed to ask God how…” (1 Chronicles 15:13, NLT)

“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.” (Ps 126:5, NLT)

“O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!” (Jer 32:17, NLT)

What is the word God has planted in your heart?
