When Abraham and Sarah couldn’t have a son, they got caught up with how the rest of the world took care of such matters. Without thinking, they ended up with an Ishmael.
If we don’t pay attention, the current of culture and society can carry us in its flow. And, when it does, we too may find ourselves far from God’s shore.
What currents of culture am I in that I’m not even aware of?
Father, give me discernment so I can hear your voice and know your way, especially when things aren’t going how I think they should.
